Another SLICK follows me home!

This past Thursday I stopped by a local gas station for a quick fill on my 65 F250. Guy next to me in a Chevy says "nice truck". We start to chat and he tells me a friend of his has a nice 65 sitting in the back yard and day before told him he is considering selling it.

He gives me a number and says he is going to visit the guy in a bit. I waited a hour or so and made the call. A hour or so later just a few miles away and there it was but a 1966 instead of a 1965. At least the year was close and in my 65-66 Range. Made an offer they did not except, but a
deal was struck on Friday. Yesterday it followed me home!

So now there are 5 pretty nice SLICKS in the yard . . .

Now I just have to find the time & funds to do something with them all. Seems every time I get up a few bucks to work on one another follows me home.
Sickness for sure. I call it Slickisitis.

This truck is same color combo as the one dad bought new back in October of 1965. Red with Red interior long bed no frills plain jane. This one being a 4spd while dads a 3spd Column. Pics soon trying to upload.

LOL! Do not think there is a cure. . . I brought the PB Blaster with me as when I opened the hood the first time it was pretty tight and did not want to mess things up. Now taking notes for the Will, which one did you want?

I now have a uneven number of slicks so think its time to look for another.

How is your project coming along? Still not completely set up in shop yet but getting there. Going to have to turn the semi into a workshop as not enough room otherwise.

In Colbert I had 5 acres and 3000 sq ft of indoor storage/parking. here I have 1000 sq ft plus one slot in house garage where I keep the 65.

Hate to rub it in but its been sunny and 70's every day. T-Shirt weather for sure.

Awesome find Boss9. It looks to be in ok shape. It is nice to know that the truck will be cared for & not get scraped.

I know you're leaving the swb 66 with the stroked FE to me, from one Randy passed down to another....lol

I finally got another Mustang project for Christmas & I got it from a Randy, too.

It actually came pretty close to being scrapped! prior owners wife about sent it to the graveyard. Pretty decent builder truck overall.

I did go to see a doctor. Last time I was in he told me I should watch my weight. So to listen to the doc & watch my weight I tried to put it out where I could see it, did not like that much. Only other cure is buy another slick.

What does your doc say about slickisitis? It would be different if I was actually looking for slicks. Quite often when I take one for a spin I hear about another. Most are junk and way overpriced.

a 66 f100 just sold here for 34,100.00 last week and was nice but not spectacular.

For sure need a bigger garage now.

Pretty solid truck and pretty straight too!

Cab corners and floors are super nice! Tailgate about perfect, inside box pretty decent.

Appears to be original engine and trans in truck yet too.

Undercarriage pics . . . Not gonna see this out east.

Seriously thinking about dropping in a twin turbo eco-boost in this truck. What does everyone think of that idea?

If like to deal with all of that wiring to put an ecoboost in it... go right ahead. But, personally I wouldn't do that. I'd rather have a carb than efi anyday of the week.
