White smoke on start, even when engine warm.

First off hello, I'm new to the site and to a diesel truck. I. Bought my 08 f350 back in oct.2011 it currently has 100,6xx km on it. Some back ground, I have already had the egr valve replace and 3 weeks ago I had it in for a coolant leak in the egr bypass hose. System was pressure tested and everything was good. Now over the last few days I've noticed white smoke coming out of the exhaust upon start up. Even if the truck has been running and is warm. Let's say I drive some where and go into a store for 20min or so and come out. Start the truck and it pours out white smoke for a few minutes while I drive and then stops.
It has a dpf delete and an afe air box and a programmer. Any ideas?? I'm leaning toward egr cooler or a leaking coolant seal on the turbo.

I agree..any coolant loss, also if the motor is fairly cold you might get something like what you are saying due to cold temps and cold motor.

It can be warm outside and the engine can be warm. I am loosing coolant but not alot. I'm starting to suspect a warn turbo. It seems to happen after a high boost pull. I tow a trailer for work and it seems to happen after I need to do a hard pull

EGR coolers...need to have them pressure tested..either the coolers or the valve.

Nothing to do with the turbos as no coolant goes there.

I vote for leaking cooler, hence the white smoke (coolant)

Never would have guessed that a factory turbo wouldn't have been water-cooled. but I was also thinking coolers before. I hope i don't have pressure building in my coolant system. don't wanna blow a head gasket . it goes in on thursday and i don't have to work tomorrow so hopefully they find the issue. although it seems to be intermittent.

You need to tell them how much coolant you have been adding and how often.

i just had it in the shop 3 weeks ago because of a coolant leak. a pin whole leak in the egr bypass hose, a result of another dealer replacing my egr valve in november. so I haven't had to add coolant yet. its still within range, but i goes i could add about a quart. thanks for the advice, sites like this help everybody learn and prevents the dealers from screwing us to much. I'm fortunate that i have a great dealer in my town.

so dealer found oil in the intercooler, more then normal. and they suspect fuel in the oil. and because i have removed the dpf and have a programmer they are telling me no warranty. if its the injector o ring or injection pump, i am going to fight the pants off them for it being covered or they can give me my money back for the extended warranty the sold me after i asked if it would be an issue if i remove the dpf. they said no! i get if i modified the injectors or something like that but its like removing my warranty for having a car starter

I would push for an oil analysis but likely will do no good.

Just hope first dealer did not put your truck on a list with Ford for mods.
