no throttle respose

I have a 97 f350 PS and it will start up just fine but there is no throttle response. I just replaced the tps and checked the fuses and still nothing. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks

If there is absolutely 0 response , it may be the IVS ...

Sometimes they can can be cleaned with contact cleaner & compressed air ...

It will also set a CEL ..

It could be the IVS when you first push the pedal you should hear it click also check the plug on the IVS and make sure you have a good connection

Hi there, I was messing with my throttle pedal assembly down there once to adjust a fast idle solenoid cable for the pulling unit on the service rig and ended up with the same problem. It's true that if you dont fully seat the switch at the idle position, it will not rev when you start to roll the pedal into that cam roller. He's right , you should hear a click as soon as you depress the pedal, meaning your coming off of the idle v.s. and fixing to call for some fuel. If the pedal arm or the 90 deg. bend thats there for the switch is just a hair off = no go. It all has to happen like in a credit card width or so. Check it out and good luck, Jay

After I broke mine, long story, I had to reach down and click mine once after each start up and it would be fine until I shut it down. WhT I am trying to say is that it only needs to make a connection once

I don't think you can buy just the IVS think you have to buy the whole go pedal.

Spray some contact cleaner in the IVS around the button and blow it out with air compressor

IVS & TPS source - NEW

This is the Manufacturer and P/N for the Ford IVS. It is the actual part made for Ford.
I had purchased all the existed stock before and was told that's it. Now it appears that they have run another batch. They currently have 70 pieces in stock. I would recommend getting one as a spare.

Look here:
Onlinecomponents.com | Franchised Distributor of Electronic Components

You may have to search the P/N, but it is there.

Cutler Hammer/Eaton SS22BW32-330Y

TPS - Dorman
Dorman makes the aftermarket TPS. I'm sure it is a good part.

Dorman 699-200

There you have it!

it is just a small limit switch. use a multi meter and check it, is it opening / closing when you press / release the pedal? if not, pull the switch off and check it again. if not, replace it. if it is, then you may have to adjust the little tabs that triggers the switch.
