Looking 4 pics of 295/60/20 Nitto Trail on stock SD

Don't really have anything to report other than how they ride. I used to have Nitto Terra's on my Expedition and really liked them. These ride very similar to the Terra's. No strange vibrations. They do have a unique sounding pitch to them, but nothing I couldn't quickly overcome. Overall I think the Trails are awesome. I had to have something for upcoming turkey season, as the streets I had previously cost me a $65 tow two weeks ago out of mud I shouldn't really have gotten stuck in. I would have gone with the Terras which always had my back in some really bad stuff, but this truck is heavier and I wanted to have some extra insurance for that. Plus the look is awesome.

so would you say the trails are considered a loud tire? im thinkin of puttin em on my truck. would like to stay as close to stock size so i dont change my speedo and odo. (as much as i may want a bigger tire, but im sure id pay for it at the pump)
it seems the 295 60 20 is the closest. wonder if they will fit on the XD Thump wheels that are 20x9

295/60/20 not stock wheels, but they will fit on stock wheels. 2.5" level kit, but as stated above, they are not taller, just a tad wider and if you dont get the right offset on an aftermarket wheel, they may rub on the control arm. These do not. BTW wheels are XD attic matte/machined model xxxxxx7518 20x9 +18 offset. Hope this helps

You might have a rub problem with 0 offset. All the wheels I looked at that said it would work with our trucks came back +18 offset. Again, you can consult with a local shop and if they are not sure, they can try 1 on to see if it rubs....

Thanks Hwy419. Thanks for taking the time to post the photos. They look good.
I’ve been following this thread as I’m about to order tires to replace my stock 20” Michelins (w/350 miles). Good info. Thanks everyone. Thought I’d post this summary about other things to consider especially those who are considering keeping their stock wheels (20” wheel is an 8” inch wheel). I thought about this as I looked at the info Painted Horse posted-good info PH.
LT295/60r20 = 34.45" tall x 12.13" wide @ 80 psi (no problems w/TPMS) with a min 8.0” wheel at 3750 lb max load
LT295/65/20 = 35.47” tall x 12.13” wide @ 80 psi (no problems w/TPMS) with a min 8.0” wheel at 4080 lb max load
35 x 12.50R20 = 35.04” tall x 13.39” wide @ 65 psi (most likely a problem with TPMS if > 65 psi) with a min of 8.5” wheel at 3195 lb max load
stock Michelins LT275/65r20 = 34.4" tall x 11.0 " wide @ 80 psi with 8.0” rim (no problems w/TPMS)
I’m considering the 295/65/20 as 1) I don’t want to be constantly staring at the TPMS light (tires under inflated which sounds like the TPMS activates at > 65 psi ), 2) I’m not crazy about the tires sticking out past the wheel wells, and 3) the slight increase in width (footprint) I’ll get with the 295/65/20 is a middle choice between stock Michelins and the wider 35x12.50s (which the manufacture states needs an 8.5” min wheel). I would expect the mpg decrease (from stock tires) will not be as significant either as if I were to go with the 35x12.50.
Today, I ordered a 4.5” Icon Stage 2 lift and when the BMF Novakanes finally come in from backorder (???) I’ll consider replacing the stock wheels with 20 x 9s Novakanes if I don’t like the look of the stocker KR wheels with the 295/65/20.

I pulled the plug and got a Ready Lift stage 4 lift. It brings the front up 3.5 and the rear 3". I'm very very happy with it and no change to ride quality. So I'm committed now to a 35" tire. Haven't made that decision to buy yet because I seem to be unable to find aftermarket wheels that state load capacity except Procomp. I haven't found the right wheel yet. My choice will be a flat black 8.5 to 9" wheel (of course 20") that has the factory 3400 lb capacity. This shouldn't be this hard to find but it is! I guess I'm kinda picky. All the aftermarket wheels that are black seem to have that irritating fake chrome bolt look. So very dumb. I just want a tough wheel that is strong and doesn't have extra flare. I base this decision off the beautiful Forrest green paint that requires a black wheel.
