The most common size used was 6.70 x 15 That translates to a tire of 28.5"
In Diameter .
Modern ones that are are close in Diam.
215 80 R15 Diam 28.54" (Very hard size to find in North America but quite common in the UK and the EU, everyone makes tires in this size over there as this was the tire size for the Landrover defender and several other vehicles for many years.)
225 75 R15 Diam 28.3"
235 75 R15 Diam 28.8"
Alternatively you could use a Bias Ply Goodyear still was making the their Hi-Miler in 6.70 x 15 until just recently you may still be able to find stock.
And of course theew are lots of options from Coker, and Kelsey Tire in the 6.70 x 15 size.
