took my 93 F-250, 5.8L to Auto Zone for a free computer check. I got these two codes, 327 and 328, I replaced the E.G.R valve as directed by the employee and still nothing. next, I checked the voltage to the sensor, 5 volts ( good, I guess according to Haynes). Next I checked for resistance and there I think is my problem.
If anyone knows of or thinks that this should solve my problem, please let me know. either here or at wirenutleo(No Email Addresses In Posts!).

Just because a code definition mentions a part, that doesn't mean there's ANYTHING wrong with it, as you just learned. Take it back and demand your money back. The Haynes manual tells the proper way to diagnose the EGR and if you can't follow it, PM or e-mail me and I'll send you a 1.7M document that has a chapter devoted to EGR diagnosis. You'll need a vacuum gauge & pump, like the MityVac.

 

went to ford, and bought a new sensor for the e.g.r., codes all clear. cost me $59.88 to clear them though. anyway thanks for all your help
