Fuel Shut-off Solenoid replacement
Ive been fighting an electrical short and after a few days on the site here the guys were able to help me find out and figure out what the problem was. Now I know that my wire that shorted caused the FSS on top of the injection pump to short out. Does anyone know if and how this can be replaced also where can I get replacement parts etc.. Also does this require any special tools, and can it be done by a DIYer ? PS this pump is only 2 years old...

Hard to see how a bad wire could damage the FSS. However it can be replaced. You should be able to get one from mwfi.com and it should come with fitting instructions. You must follow the instructions to the letter as impropper fitting can cause the engine to "run away" and destroy itself.

So I went to the noted web site and did receive pricing info and asked if it had any installation instructions with it, the reply I was given was that its a direct replacement part and no instructions are needed as it is installed in reverse of removal. My concern is that the wording above from one of the replies was that it needs special care for installation or I chance the engine running away and going BOOM. Any one have insight on installation of this FSS Part# 6.9so kit? Thanks in advance for any assistance
