definitely get it dyno tuned. Well worth the money to get it dialed in and running right in performance and gas mileage. Around here they charge ~ 65.00/hr for chassis dyno time. an hour or two at the most should be enough time to do a couple three pulls and adjustments. Be sure to have an assortment of jets and/or metering rods for the carb and advance springs for the dizzy on hand. They are pretty cheap from places like Summit.

hey Chuck.... we were just discussing engine color this week... had a conversation with my body man/painter... my transmission builder and my engine builder.... the consensus is ??? nobody likes yellow engines ! I think I'm going with the dark gray metallic I used for the frame... should make the chrome pieces pop and the purdy ceramic headers stand out...

Dyno.. man I'd love to get the 460 dyno'd. I haven't checked local prices but I'm sure it ain't cheap... but if you spend 2-3 grand on an engine 3-4 hundred on a dyno pull or two doesn't seem so bad... I might talk to my builder and see who he knows and if he'd like to help me tune it in...

then I need to borrow a video camera !!! and make a dyno-movie !

later
john

please nobody make a Jimmy Walker comment ??? please ???

If it's carbureted then it won't cost you 3-400 for the dyno time....it's usually around 60-70 an hour....shouldn't take more than 2 hours....there's a guy by you in hueytown called Henson Performance that has a dyno.

Here's their website....http://www.hensonperformance.com/ ....there's also several youtube videos of dyno sessions at Hensons.

WTF do you care what anyone else likes, paint it what YOU like! Did you ask what everyone else likes when you decided to paint the exterior yellow??? I have seen yellow engines with chrome and they look just bitchin. Guess what color I'm gonna paint my bowtie block? NO, not orange!
