tore into the engine tonight
got the valve covers off to find 4 Autolite glow plugs







got lucky and while all 4 ohm'd open they all came out with out an issue
lets hope the next side goes as well

while i was under the hood it got a new glow plug relay
and a RiffRaff OBS 6637 kit

Headed to the shop to finish the glow plugs and work on the front axle
New ball joints,axle seals and universals await

Truck got a bit pampered thanks to petey, doug and greg today

Rebuilt the turbo
Cleaned fuel bowl and screen
New fuel filter
Ccv mod
Riff raff intake boot
Riff raff plenum boots
Remaining glow plugs installed
New fuel pump

Hopefully greg will post some pics if not ill get some for everyone tomorrow

Passenger side injector hold downs were all below 5lb-ft to start with. They've been brought to 10lb-ft. Just reminding you that the drivers side needs it badly still.

how much of a POS was it to pull that obs turbo...the last one was enough for me to say i wont do it again

The turbo want easy but having someone there who had done one was a huge help
That and the right tools
The second time it came out and back in real easy
