Siren huh?

No siren shall be mounted upon any motor vehicle except fire apparatus, ambulances, vehicles used in official line of duty by any member of the police or fire fighting forces of the commonwealth or any agency or political subdivision thereof, and vehicles owned by call fire fighters or by persons with police powers and operated in official line of duty, unless authorized by the registrar.

This from:

General Laws: CHAPTER 90, Section 16

You a "call firefighter" or "person...with police powers...."?

No problem. I hate to rain on the parade, but with the way things are these days, no sense bringing unwanted attention and fines etc your way.

Good luck with your truck.

Man that's absolutely true! How about a nice set of air horns though? I'm thinking locomotive or large ship----talk about a legal way to get attention!

Even with vintage police cars, or fire engines that you may own, (say a 1948 Ford Police Car,) you still need to get permission to have the emergency equipment, sirens lights etc..., installed on them.

There are provisions for that type of thing though.
