Matching OEM paint?

Hello all, I am planning pretty soon to change some body panels on my truck and have them repainted. Are there any preferred companies that anyone has had good experience with? I just saw this and they have my paint code(EL & YN)

Thanks!

More like wont ... Most have to be hand mixed and always blended into the old paint not to tell from 20 feet out. Paint and bolt on a fender and it normally sticks out bad. Blend it into the door and even with a slight miss match its harder to see.

I like frost green or that almost purple metallic blue. Other than that, Oxford White.

I have been playing with the paint books at work, trying to find the best price! Stay away from reds and yellows! Orange is high cause it has mostly red and yellow in it. green and purples are not to bad. blues are very affordable! blacks and whites are cheap!

The lime Green I want

is Is almost $100 more than my Factory blue.

Thanks!

Please only use automotive grade paint/clear; most anything that can be put into a spray bomb is going to be a much less quality product. You don’t have to have the newest and/or best, but going with PPG, BASF, and DuPont type paint will make life easier and not have compatibility problems. Getting it mixed locally by someone who knows what they are doing and they can make paint match much better than a generic color mix. Since you will want to paint the back side of the panels before they are installed, you can check and adjust color at that time.

What panels do you want to replace??

How did the color look, nice?? I am planning on two tone with this color. Either how I have it with the same grey and this red or red entirely with a darker grey on the bottom.

Two front fenders, cab corners, and fix rust on back wheel wells.

Do I need a special spray gun for automotive paint? Any suggestions?

If you like red, Yeah I guess it looked nice. It was on a 48 F1.

You need a GOOD gun. Especially with pearl and metallic in the paint. If this is your 1st time painting metallics, I would be doing ALOT of reseach
