I have a 07 Freestyle SEL with just over 80k miles on it. I love the car and fortunately have not had any issues out of it. The only problem i have so far is the positive battery terminal corrodes really bad. I can clean it up and a few weeks later more corrosion is built up again so bad that you cant see the terminal on the battery. What is causing this and what do i do about it? I have already tried putting dielectric grease on the terminal but that hasnt helped any.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
well if you dont check your battery for any cracks or leaks near the terminal go to your local ford service and ask how much new battery terminal harness is.
ok. will do. I have just never seen that before. The car starts up just fine and has no issues. I just want that fixed. If I remember right the battery is the original motorbraft too.
YES IT IS I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN MY 2005 EXCURSION THAT I BOUGHT OUT IN COLORADO BUT SINCE IT HAD NO WARRANTY I PAID ABOUT $350 TO REPLACE THE HARNESS
