DT360 or DT466 swap?

What is probably easier to swap in a 1994 f350? I would like to have as little cuttings and welding as possible. What is the huge difference in the 2? What kind of mileage can i see out of either when i put them in? Going to try and get 300-400hp out of either which ever i do. This is for a future project on a current 7.3L IDI.Starting research now!!!

Don't have much knowledge of either. Here is one that's had a DT466 in it.

i think the dt360 is just a tad bit bigger than a 5.9 cummins. there was a video on youtube of one in a superduty.

the DT360 is the better choice because it is smaller than the 466.

I would agree. The 466 is kind of a big engine for a pickup. I have seen many big trucks and farm equipment with a 466.

The DT360 is size and weight equivalent to a 5.9 cummins.
The Dt466 is MUCH bigger at 1400lbs and 44" long and 32" from oil pan to valve cover.

Welcome to Carson Stauffer Diesel Service has made adapters and installed a D360 in place of a Powerstroke. He would be the one I would be calling

360 all the way. beside the fact that its a much more suitable size for a pickup, theyre bulletproof.

Ok than a DT360 i what i will do my research on. 5 hour shot and some pretzels and water are in the need, and a good long sit down for some notes

Anyone have any other references besides the few mentioned thus far? A direct link would be preferred but not needed

Why not just put a 5.9 cummins? its an easy swap and you can get much more power for way less money, both dt motors have very little stock hp and you will be adding way more weight then your tuck can handle without alot of beefing up frame and suspension
