Are they worth the buy?

If you have purchased or know someone who has bought them, are they worth it?

I received a '48 as a Xmas gift that looks amazingly like those in the ad. Mine is proudly displayed on my desk looking great and has the details described. While I am unsure that mine came from this source, I would go for it knowing the price is quite reasonable.

If only my full sized version was finished...

I hate to say negative, but they never tell you what the scale is... could be that thing is 1:35 scale and only 2" long front to back. I did some serious shopping last year in the time when my truck was isolated from me and found the largest scale I could was a Yat Ming 1:18 scale.

I got the red (even though my truck is green, cause that particular green is just way wrong lookin to me) from amazon with free shipping. The Yat ming has movable working steering wheel and front wheels. On that little ad www site they never show the wheels at anything but straight ahead. My guess from the similarities it is probably a yat ming as well though.

 

My daughter bought these for me several years ago for christmas. Pretty nice. 1:24th scale I believe.

 

I got one a few years back, and it came with the F100 for free, its 6 1/8 " long, tail gate opens, doors, wheels spin and turn side to side and are plyable with spare, the hood opens, the steering wheel does not turn ( i just broke it checkin to see if it did ) for the price im happy with it. And it came with a little cataloge with other cars/trucks available. Mine was made under licence for National Motor Museum Mint, acording to the sticker on its bottom (made in China)

 

A friend gave me a 48 F1, not the one on TV, but cool anyway.
I finished the retroation of my 66 Mustang last year and painted a Hot Wheels to match. I then got a 1/25 scale model and as my winter project put it together as close a match to my Stang as I could, that was fun.

 

I have them. They're cool. I have several F-Series models around my house and shop in various scales.

 

I ordered them off TV as well. It's certainly no bargain as they would lead you to believe ($10.00) as the total cost is actually $25.00..when you factor in the S&H on the FREE F100. Of course, you aren't made aware of the S&H charges until you have already checked out. So, you end up paying about the max they are worth together.

 

S&H is the biggest biggest ripp off on any tv product .Buy one for $9.95 and we will send you 30 of the same for FREE!!!! Just pay separate S&H for each....

 

hence I went with amazon's - I almost always have a couple items on a wish list, stash em together and then group them for free "super saver" shipping Which is kinda dumb since one package came from Phoenix and one came from Ny but never touched each other since I live in Colorado.

 

I've been the recipient of several of these over the years at Christmas and such. I'm always careful to give ample "thank yous", but actually they're really hard for me to get into. Lol. Guess I prefer the 1:1 scale!
They're easy on the juicoline budget though...slim

 

Oh sure, the $10 bucks sounds nice, but....
...you have to pay for individual shipping at another $10 a throw bringing the price up to $30.

I have several die-cast trucks around, some are better than others. I usually find them on ebay or Amazon but I always check the shipping.

I've had three separate patients bring me the same trucks. One guy brought me one that was a little bigger. Like you, I thank them profusely and display them proudly on my shelf at work. It is a very thoughtful gift. In the summertime when I drive my truck, I like to take the old timers outside and show them my flathead. Their eyes just light up.

 

This is probably the favorite in my collection. In the San Diego area we are fortunate to have G&G Early Ford Parts nearby. I was in there to buy some '49 F-1 nick-nacks and I saw this model. Had to have it. Don't know who actually makes it but it's about 11 inches long. So it's kinda cool. The wife insists that it be prominately displayed in our living room. She's a monkey-face fanatic.... In other words, she has proper '48-'50 F-1 understanding..... Just kidding. I've actually come to a place where I like the toothy trucks just as much.......

 

Purchased the red '52 version .Go figure !!!!
