I found a 56 f100 with a nice volare install. I have plans for using a crown Vic front. What is the rolling frame/cab with c4 & 351 worth? Thanks

John, I think I remember the truck you're thinking of. It was in Florida, and the PO had cut into the frame almost all the way, as I recall, but that's as much as I remember.

I bought a bad install

I bought a 56 ford with a bad volare install 12 years ago. I've been restoring it and just learned that the clown who did the volare install just laid the frame on it and welded it on!

I didn't know what a good one looked like at the time and I took the word of the "experienced hotrodder" who said it was a good install.

After a divorce, two moves and finally getting around to the restoration, I find that I have to re-do the install.

Anyone with templates?

Check out my blog for pictures of the bad install:

Bad volare

Mechmagcn,
Was that volare welded on like mine? Meaning no cut to the frame just set on and welded?

How does it drive? My guess with a bit of bump steer.
