Hi,
I recently bought a set of Smittybilt tubular side step bars for my '98 f150/ xlt / longbed pickup. I got them on ebay and the installation instructions said they were for the FN26-SB2, which is just the black finish of that model. I tried to fit them on the truck but the ones i have seem a little long, about 68" from end to end. The front would butt nicely against the front cab mount but the rear end, with the bracket, doesnt fit into the frame rear mount bracket. I could bolt it just below, but that seems too low. There also were no other bracket pcs in the pack but for the 6 mounting bolts. Does anyone have any knowledge about these bars??
