So has anyone done this yet? or atleast removed the console? I have a guy who wants to do the trade, but he has not removed the console yet, and we watned to know what it would look like. He has the console and wants to know if there is missing carpet under the console, or if it is a pretty basic swap, + a few small parts from each truck...

 

Do a search. There are several threads regarding this. Some that took off console, some like me, that took out jump seat and added console. I added a 2010 console, but I know someone added a 12 console.

I have searched lol. For hours, I have only seen one thread that shows what the carpet looks like under the console. It looks like its missing. Which answers my questions.... BUT... if there are so many people who are swapping 2011/12 consoles for Jump seats, someone must have an answer to this. I cant imagine that many people are driving around with pieces of carpet missing after swapping their console for a Jump seat.
Im just wondering if the one photo I looked at was how it was, or if it was something else.
I dont think there will be a problem putting in the console in my truck, im more worried about the other guys truck it will come out of, will he have a missing piece of carpet under it?

 

There is carpet but it is over a PCM module or something ant it doesn't matter. The jump seat and/or console sits over all this and covers everything. Both have sides that go down to the floor

 

I currently have the jump seat in grey and has a compartment under it , I am interested in getting rid of it and getting the console , anyone wanna trade my jump seat for a console ? Must be grey or possibly black

i have a 2012 f250 lariat and from what i have gathered 2012-2015 models share the same setup.

 

I have a grey cloth jump seat out of a 2012 if that helps.
