I think a nice pair of Heavy Duty springs will make a night and day difference. That way you don't have to go through with the headache of swapping everything over.

I already had to grind out one leaf hanger bracket because of rust and was just putting an order in to Rockauto for the other three when it dawned on me that if I was going to go bigger this would be the time. SO...if I'm about to go grind out the rivets on all three of the remaining brackets anyway and the other one is just bolted in. What are the pro's and cons of going with a set of F-250 leaf spring setups? Or is the advice still just get a newer set of F-150 springs?

Yeah, we've had my F-150 loaded up like the Clampetts truck till the hitch dragged, took a few things off and drove her 100 miles. She's a strong truck but I don't want to push it. I'd love to throw F-250 springs in her just to give her a little bump up

Its a 2wd drive f150 so you should have coils in the front and 2 and half inch wide leafs in the back (double check this but what I have seen of the 2wd f150s is they had the smaller width leafs compared to F250, F350, Bronco (never seen a 2wd one) and F150 4x4... You will need either I-beam drop brackets or did what I did and take it to a good alignment shop (took mine to the same place that horrible show fast and loud here in Dallas takes their stuff too) and have them cold bend the I beams if you are going to put F-250 or F-350 springs in it. Also you will need to swap out the rear leaf spring hangers which honestly if you are going to go through that much hassle I would put superduty springs in the rear then (a future planned upgrade to mine). I would suggest against the overload springs unless you want cheap and easy as they make your ride a lot worse then if you lifted it and probably worse then just swapping some larger f-series springs in it. I will agree any suspension upgrade like that will make your ride stiffer....

I lifted my 2wd F350 my dad left behind not really by choice..... I bought some leveling springs for the front (I don't know what I was thinking when I bought them, knew I wanted new ones since old ones looked old and tired, was drunk and online shopping what can I say), not sure if they were made for the 460 and/or diesel version but it jacked up my front end a little over 3 inches (I guess the 20 year old front springs had a little more than 1 inch of sag on them) they were new and already on their with a bunch of new front end parts so I ended up throwing 2 inch lift blocks off a F250 4x4 in the back to make the rake more normal. Here is a pic. Be prepared no matter what you will need to find a good alignment shop since most do not work well with the twin I beam front end. I had to call around to find one that would actually consider bending the I beams to make it work right and it took them 2 weeks (although I asked them to take their time so they could charge me bottom dollar since this is not a DD)
