My entire truck shakes violently when going down hill

So Tonight my truck started to violently shake going down hill, but stopped once i slow down to like 15-20 minuets. As long as i had it there would be like a knocking sound coming from the steering collum sometime when braking. It got worse and then started to violently shaking. I checked the u-joints and they a all fine, which the u-joints were the my fist thought. Nothing appears to be blown apart or anything. Any thoughts? Thank you.

What kind of shacking is it the getting rocked by adoring fans kind of whole car shaking or the jittering sputtering almost dieing when not enough gas is given?

Sorry in advance if I do not make lots of since right now I am on hour 21 of my 24 hour duty.

Could be warped brake rotors. Maybe trac-bar bushings. Maybe the bearings in your steering column could be bad but it's probably not the source.

Is your rag joint any good? That would be my best bet.

There will be more knowledgeable people than me on in the morning.

Is your suspension very bouncy or uncontrolled. Or is your steering sloopier than normal?

Between the end of the steering column and steering box. It's rubber and it usually deteriorates with age.

Borgeson Rubber ''Rag Joint'' Steering Couplers - JEGS

Looks like this.

It is the same idea of the normal u-jointed steering collems most people are used to just bigger cheaper and wears out at inconvenient times.

its been sloopy for a long time. suspension seems normal. If its was a warped brake rotor wouldn't it of gotten worse with time just not all at once? And how would it tell if its something in the steering? It only does it down hill and im not turning but keeping my truck straight.

Probably not the brakes but if you can't get it fixed I would check it last.

Does the engine feel like it is bogging down when it is doing it. Like the engine is trying to hold the truck back?
