So thought it'd be cool to see what everyone thought about this past year, 2011. What were some of your accomplishments, mile-marker events, anything that you'd like to share with us that you're pride of or just wanna shoot out there to talk about. Then, what have you got planned to do for 2012? Marking things off a bucket list, big plans, goals, etc? Please share

A few things for 2011 that I can count off the top of my head are:

-got my motorcycle license
-still running strong in my 3rd year for my ME major
-my SOcal Sweet Treats business is goin pretty good
-reached of 7,100 songs on my iTunes
-first time to SEMA
-paid off my credit card
-finally reached 10k that I have invested in 260 various shares(possibly more down the road, but I got a mild case of ocd, so 10k is a nice even number I'm happy with right now )

2012:
-stay debt free
-finish of my school year strong
-finally take some time to focus on the X a little more
-go riding more
-hopefully attend a FTF meet up

Well for 2011

- Welcomed my Baby girl into the world
- picked up Sgt in the Marine Corps
- Reenlisted in the Marine Corps for another 4 years
- finally got orders away from DC
- had my three year anniversery with the wife
- got my 6.0, wich i love

Goals for 2012

- Make it through deployment
- watch my daughter continue to grow ( way to fast might i add)
- Progress as far as i can within the Corps
- Keep trying to keep the wife happy...lol
- Keep the 6.0 goin and continue to show her love
- Pay off last bill from before i was in the marine corps and stay debt free
- Get my wife a vehicle

 

In 2011, I ........

Celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary.

Turned 65, to officially become an "Ol' Fart". I even have a MediCare card!

Attended my mother's 96th birthday party.

Got my Hutch and Harpoon mods done to the F-350, meeting a new bunch of FTE'rs while doing so.

Visited three states that I had never seen before, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

For 2012, I'd like to .......

See 2113.

For 2012:

Celebrate 20 yrs of marriage somewhere in Europe;
Turn 50 gracefully;
Re-level the 'scursion, currently too much rake;
Improve my Wii scores for golf and skee ball;
Be a good FTE chapter lead.

As for me, 2011 brought me my first dent in 11 years. 2012 should bring an engine rebuild and 10 years of marriage (riding along in a '73 )

 

Goal for 2012. Get into Navy Nuke. Go to boot camp and start my Nuke A School. Do the best I possibly can, nothing else matters.

 

I got masted from power school for 8 minutes UA. Why? Cause I stayed out too late every night and was anything but a morning person

For me 2011 was a bad year, so 2012 has to be better, but 2013 will be even better if the court case goes my way.

In 2011:

Turned 53.
Stayed single.
Had my best friend move out
Had my bike accident 10 days later, (4 days after my 53rd birthday)
Spent half the year in a hospital/transitional center.
Received a free 1993 Bronco
Spent Christmas alone.
Spent the whole year unemployed.

For 2012:

Get a life
Get employed
Upgrade the Bronco.
Go to as many GTG's in Nor Cal, and So Cal, as possible.
Go four wheeling whenever funds permit.
Would love to get debt free but that will not happen until 2013.

Staying out late doesn't matter. Honestly this is all I dream about anymore. I want it so bad I can taste it. I want to see if I should just put in my 6 years or make it a career. I need something to do with my life. Working as a dispatcher for $9 an hour is NOT it.

I don't know about you, but for me, I wished I had stayed in the service for at least 20 years, I don't know if I would have gone the full 30, but even after 20 I would have a pension I could live on that would have been a heck of a lot more than what Unemployment is paying me.

At the rate I'm goin', if somehow I made it to 2113, the hogs wouldn't even eat my bones!

Spent the day yesterday at Disneyland and California Adventure. Maybe I'm getting senile, but I think I had the most fun at the 3-D movie "It's Hard To Be A Bug".

Cars Land looks like it might be fun when they get it open this summer. The Cadillac Range is built, and you can see it from many spots in the park. Look to be 1960's.
