This is my first OBS, my prior truck was an '03 Dodge CC dually, and prior to that was a '99 F250 PSD SD.
Obviously, these OBS mirrors are not a nice as what i'm used to, what have yall done to help improve visibility with these stock mirrors, more like, what aftermarket mirrors have you replaced the OEM mirrors with?
I'll be using this F350 CC dually to pull my 28 ft featherlight racecar trailer.
My dad suggested to strap on mirror entenders but i think those look like crap.
that actually doesnt look too bad, i like to keep my vehicles stock appearing and that doesnt take away from the stock look. and for $20 its right up my price range too
My '95 dually has the power sport mirrors on it. I think I am going to have to install towing mirrors. I have tried two different types of add on towing mirrors and I wasn't happy with either set.
I have the break away mirrors like Hussler on my '97 dually. Mirror were an option, it seems, I have seen all types on duallies. I am thinking of trying these, Retrac Extending Mirrors, if I can ever get around to finding a dealer to order them from. They look stronger that the plastic ones, but who knows.
I have the same on my truck. Work fine for what I needed which was to pull a camper a couple times a year.
Relatively inexpensive, easy to install, and fairly unobtrusive to look at.
Have a little bit of vibration, but it's not like I am trying to read a book attached to the back end of the camper; just need to see whats back there when backing up or changing lanes.
Yeah, mine are the same as Todd's. My truck used to be a dually though. I'm sure you could get the tow mirrors as an option on SRW's from the factory or dealer though...
