My new 2011 FX4
I have 2000 miles on my 2011 FX4 I got last month. I love the truck but I am having a couple of problems with it, nothing keeping it from driving but annoying things.
Truck is a 5.0 3.73 Screw.
First issue I have is the steering. I experienced this with my dads 2002 silverado that was a common problem with chevy's for a few years. You can feel a knocking sensation through the steering wheel. Does not feel like there is slack in the steering but on a smooth and straight road you can slightly turn the steering wheel back and forth and you can duplicate it over and over. Me AND my dad ragged on his chevy for having the same problem. Anyone else had this problem? Is there an easy fix?
Second issue is vibration. I noticed this the first day I had the truck. When you stop at a light or sign for a bit sometimes I can feel the truck shaking slightly. Seems do be coming mainly through the pedals and it feels like it is following the pulse from the engine. It is not terrible but definately noticable and something again I would not expect on a brand new 45k dollar truck.
Third is when slowing down to a stop when the truck gets down below 5mph sometimes there is a harsh shift into 1st gear that you can feel and actually you can hear it shake/rattle the whole truck.
All three of these issues are things I could probably live with currently if they are not mechanical problems that will get worse, but I am seeking advice as to whether these problems are normal and I should ignore them or they are common problems with these trucks?
I bleed blue but I am silently a little put off by these issues (this is the first time I have admitted it to myself even). You spend this kind of money on a new car/truck and you do not expect to notice discrepancies with it right off the bat.

I havent noticed issues #1 or 2 that you speak of but I do feel the transmission do a rough shift sometimes in low gears. Ive got a 2010 with the 5.4 V8, not that I think that makes a difference. I used to notice the pedal vibration in my 04 Ranger and it was annoying but nothing ever turned into an issue because of it.
