GShretter,

"My EGR is disabled and capped but I can't remove the equipment because I will get engine lights and so forth no matter what plus I don't want to remove the emissions equipment due to changes coming to diesel emissions in Texas. Oh it's coming.. "

Can you elaborate on the diesel emissions changes in Texas?
Thanks,

Joe

(another job altogether) Apologies, but now I realize you are talking about the sensors under the hood for the EGR delete. When I get a chance I will post some more pictures of all of those sensors and where they are now. (maybe a video and talk you through it). I might not get to it for a few days, so stay in touch with me, either through this thread or via PM.

I would like to note that there is tremendous information on these message boards regarding this job. Not just this this board, but the other Ford Diesel Forums as well. If it wasn't for the knowledge I gained on these boards, I would not have been able to do this job. Before I even turned the first wrench, I looked up every post on this topic and knew exactly what I was getting into. BrownDog was a huge help. check out some of our conversations.

And I will be back with those visuals when I get a chance.
I have everything back together. It looks like everything worked. One question on the DPF-R. What is the difference between the standard and economy tune? Is the standard the 70 HP tune?

No. The Econ tune is the 70 hp boost.

Thank you. I called but I think there was a language barrier when trying to get the answer.

I didn't realize this was an issue; I know some guys bought new intake elbows, but is the stock one going to draw EGR gas even if the tune disables the EGR valve?

Did you guys just tie up the egt sensors raw to the elements or did you tape or bag them up somehow?

Also, did you also plug in the pressure sensor? and if you did what about the piece that was in the DPF?

Mich800. sorry, i still owe you some pictures. I didn't even tie them up. They just dangling loose under the hood. They don't get in the way of anything. I promise I will get to those pics this weekend. Easier if you see it.
