92 Flareside update, pics & Vid. Trans rebuild receipt

ok guys picked up this 92 Flareside december 21st. picked her up for 1k bucks.. greatest deal i've gotten on vehicle probably ever..

had a burnt up AOD in it... no 3rd or OD. 159k miles. took to trans shop december 22nd.. had AOD rebuilt.. got it back January 4th. took longer than usual cause holiday's had alot of their techs on vacation.

So you paid 2500 bucks for a 2wd truck w 160k mi? doesnt sound like that great of a deal to me...

essentially.. but i dont need 4wd.. especially not in a Flareside like this..

these are my FAVORITE truck style. and the 302 is very strong. has NEVER leaked a drop of oil. LOOK AT PICS. has only a slight seep of coolant at water pump.

rust free, near perfect body. newer paint....

There are some pretty hammered rigs out there, and this one does not look abused, so all in all its a good one!

Important thing is, he found something he likes and will probably take much better care of it and will improve on it, making it even better!

agree. thats why i got this thing.. it hasnt really been beaten up..

Thats a nice looking truck, always liked the stepsides. I have to get my trans rebuilt also....Hopefully my bill isn't as big tho.

staying height it is now.. its level and i like it. wheels may happen if i can find the right wheels.

and engine bay. will be getting cleaned up later..
