Does that alt fit a V10? What is that LED-looking thing on the body?

I believe the very large alternator might fit in a "large" USPS flat rate box? Might look into it. If so $15 anywhere in us.

If the alternator will fit on a V-10, and Robert_I_ross passes I'll take it.

USPS.gov says large is:
12" x 12" x 5-1/2" and 23-11/16" x 11-3/4" x 3"
Medium is:
13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8" and 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"

So unless there is some kind of dimension that is 5 1/2", I don't think it would fit.

RareElectrical.com lists a stock alternator for a V10 at 13lbs

Any chance you know if a stock pulley would fit on that?

Stock pulley should fit. When I replaced mine earlier this year, the guy at Advanced auto swapped em over on the bench for me. 30 second job. I would confirm with Eric though because I do not know if the V10 and 7.3 have the same sized pulley. I want to say they do because everywhere online I checked showed the same part number, but again I cannot be 100% sure. I can measure my 6.0 in the morning if you need.

No problem. The one problem I have found with Excursions is a lot of the parts online kinda fall under a generic size and fit scenario. Its not really a F250 but many parts interchange. My concern is the diesel alternator sits on the top of the motor with 3 vertical mounting bolts and I am not sure how the V10 one mounts. Advanced Auto only shows a generic picture.

I'll be taking a pic under the hood tomorrow on my V10 to try to figure that out as well!
