Mike if you get to traffic light number 1 in Pigeon Forge look to your left and you will see the Show Hotel. So basically turn left at traffic light 1 in Pigeon Forge by Cracker Barrell Restuarant and you will see it.

I'm sittin' at home trying to look over some Pigeon Forge webcams to see trucks running the strip. So far only one. Wish I was there for the Supernationals, but the kids are graduating high school next week and need to stay home (for money and time) and get the house ready for a party next weekend.
Looks like the Smoky Mtn F100 Run is a weekend earlier than I remember. The one I made was the weekend before July 4th. I would love to make another, but the purple truck is still in the shape it was all those years ago, so it won't be making the trip. Is the new venue as good as the Smoky Shadows?

I'm not gonna make it this year. Being unemployed since October and being supported by my mother while social security makes up their mind about my disability claim has put a kink in my travelling plans. Last year I missed the True Blue trucks event at Townsend, so this year, I'm gonna miss Smokey Mtn show and try to do Townsend.... maybe by September things will be looking up.
I'm gonna miss ya'll for sure... its been a hard 8 months, but I'm hanging in there.

Since my truck made the 200 mile trek without any issues, I may try to come back for the F100 Run. I've never been to that one; I've heard that it's smaller but more fun. Hopefully, there will be more "drivers" like mine.

I've been less than truthful with friends. I thought there would be at least 2000. There were over 1600 entrants in 2003 when I drove my truck to the Supernationals - and that was pre-1979 trucks only. That was an exceptional year, but I thought the new venue and opening up to all Fords would push it way past 719.
