The brakes on these trucks are Hydro Assist. The Steering pump applies pressure to the brakes.
2006 lariat is correct, rather than vacuum assisted brakes our trucks and many others use hydraulic pressure from the power steering pump to give a hydraulic assist for the brakes, much better than vacuum assisted
