2013 Explorer Sport...NOW WITH MORE ECOBOOST
Looks like the Explorer picked up the Ecoboost V6 as an option for 2013.

Kinda bummed the towing rating didn't increase though (it's still 5,000lbs). You would think with more power, bigger brakes, and more chassis reinforcement it could tow more. At least enough to match the V6 Durango (6,200lbs).

Being the Explorer is rated for 16/22 with that 3.16 rear, it seems to me that Ford's fuel economy ratings for Ecoboost F150 were done with 3.55 axles. That offers a pretty good explanation as to why people with 3.73 axle EB F150s are seeing worse than rated fuel economy on average.
