Just feeling kinda bla! Wishing I had he money to properly fix my truck-- or buy a new to me bronco.
I have allot of options - repair my rig- by another exploder - buy a bronco - all of these options have one flaw in common - Limitted $$ Wifey is not endorsing a wheeling project. W-A-B budget cuts (Wife Allocated Budget)
Boubonator offered to give me his bronco-- but it is going to need a bunch of work to make it trail worthy-- might not be too much depending on how its done--
Guess I could name it "Slightly Angry Max" --
It does have a removeable top-- 9in and 351!
Maybe I'll fix it up and beat on it for a couple years then get something else?
I would really like a solid front axle--
Oh well just thinking out loud- tHANX FOR LISTENING!
If you could swing the Bronco, It would wheel for a while as is. I may be able to get you a line on a solid front out of a 78 or 79 Bronco if they still have it. Fixing the sploder would give you things like a more modern vehicle with AC etc. but probably not the inherent durability of the Bronco. Then, there is the money factor. That always bites.
Ifin ya kin git Clint ta fix the drivers rear side of Jr. he put through the tree in Utah last May, I am always lookin fer a driver. I've drivin enuff trails I can just ride around these days. Course I kin still git the truck up un over most stuff in case ya want see me do it. I'm always lookin fer a different place ta go. How bout some 20 minute chicken at Green River? Then out ta camp at the Crystal Geyser ur Smiths Cabin. We could take the short cut to Hanksville via Robbers Roost. Ur head up north and run the Castlegate Getaway Down through Buckhorn Wash. Side trips to the Wedges Over look and Mexican Mountian. Then run Black Dragon. Ur over ta Swazy's Cabin and run Eagle Canyon and then down to the Copper Globe mine. Then the Night of the Winds treck down to Hanksville. Then there is nice loop NW of Hanksville ur on up through Gobblin Valley. Course I sure nuff could go south into the Henrys and visit Lonesome Beaver CG again.
Lawdy thisin cabin fever sure nuff isa hackin on me.
You could always buy my truck. It's got a solid front axle, a V8, winch, tree clobbering front bumper, and brand new 33" KM2's. Then I could buy a new to me F150. I'd even throw in a couple blue ovals you could stick on the side so you could maintain your social status.
They are asking $3700. Yeah, I hate to see them sell it too, but they weren't using it much and felt like the funds could be used elsewhere since they are doing a major basement project.
Been there before dude, but things always get better. Not sure what to tell ya about a rig. One option would be to part out Elvis to build "agitated Max" I for one would be interested in front axles, lift, shocks, wheels tires etc. Just not sure how I would get it here :-/
