TGM got some new shoes :D

Just got done spending $945 on some new 35x12.5 R15 Goodyear Wrangler MTR Kevlars at Discount Tire. I went on tire rack and found some general grabber ones for about 708 for 4 and took it down to DT for a match and they gave me a hell of a deal.

Here is the old ones:

First time with the wheels off since I owned it:

They made an unbelievable difference, I had a real bad shimmy to the point where my tool boxes and such were sliding, and i had the truck fighting me to pull right a lot. Apparently my old ones were basically ripping themselves apart on the inside in between the tread and the inside rubber so it was cupping and bulging. I am super satisfied with the work and the result.

Those look great I really like the MTRs. We use them on the armored Humvees. I have thought about a set for the Zebra. Turn between MTRs and ProComp Xterrains

Thanks guys, I only have a 3 inch body lift the rest is all rubber baby ;]. I was looking at some general AT2's on tirerack for $708 for all 4. Too that wuote into DT and they gave me these monsters. Every time i walk out to my truck at lunch or going home i get giddy looking at them from afar. And no i haven't done any REAL offroading cause my truck is sort of not healthy...

If you were looking at a set of 4 tires for $708 why did you end up getting 4 different tires at a different location for more money? Just curious.

Well the tires are better quality and they had them in stock. The other ones would have taken longer to ship plus i would have to pay someone to mount and balance, at DT they had them in stock and were able to get them on that night. Also i have heard from everyone that these are the cream of the crop tires

Ah, that makes sense. Gotta have the cream of the crop tires. Getting them that days helps too.
