Seat belt part number and source

The puppy chewed half way through the front drivers side seat belt while I was grocery shopping today. So I probably ought to get that fixed.

It is a 2004 F-250 Super Cab with the Seat Integrated Restraints in Medium Flint (grey). I need a part number and a good place to get one (hopefully without paying an arm and a leg).

I searched FordParts.com and found what I believe is probably the right part (even though they don't have a picture), but they show a part number of 611B09, which really doesn't translate to anything I can find in a search. I Google that number and I get a couple of diagrams of a seatbelt in a Mustang. Not much help there.

If anyone can help me figure out the part number that'd at least be a start.

Thanks,

P.S. For Sale: One 45 pound, 6 month old Jaws of Life. Batteries, gas or electricity not required. 50 pounds of unit specific fuel (1 week supply) included.

I found 1 new one on E-Bay. $232.00. Dang that's expensive.

There was a part # in the listing, so I got that too. They're all expensive. I may just take a stab at getting some really heavy nylon thread designed for stitching canvas or something and see if I can repair it.

I just read through one of the E-Bay listings for a guy that repairs seat belt pretensioners, etc. It says in his listing that he might be able to put a new belt into my existing mechanism. I'm going to email him and find out.

Has anyone else done something like this?

Seat belts are something that you really should not try and repair. For safety sake it is best to replace...

'04 Front Seat Belt (Left) - Super Cab - With Seat Integrated Restraints; Medium Flint (E)

P/N: 3C3Z-28611B09-BAC

Uh huh...
Qwist on a bicycle. That ebay price is higher than MSRP / Now take a look-see at the above Ford Dealer's FTE member discount price.

85 bucks cheaper than the ebay price, 57 bucks cheaper than MSRP .. Not all dealers are price gougers.

That's a lot better, although still a lot of coin at the moment. I didn't know Ed was still doing business. I thought I had read that he got out. I don't know why I was seeing so much higher prices. The part number I had gotten was a little bit different, though.

So what is the difference between the part number you gave me, vs this one I got?
3C3Z-78611B09-AAC, except for 1 letter and about $70?

Post #1: Initially, you didn't get a part number, all you got was the basic part number of 611B09.

Ed's site sez: 3C3Z-78611B09-AAC .. Seat Belt & Retractor Assy-Crew Cab / MSRP: $310.87 / Member price: $223.82.

Applications: 2003/2004 Flint left with bench seat / 2003/2004 Flint left 40/20/40 bench seat / 2003/2004 Flint left Captains Chairs.

Ed is no longer at Horizon Ford (suffered a stroke January 2011, was forced to retire), but Horizon Ford is still an FTE sponsor, same discounts apply when Ed was there.

Ed is originally from So Cal, at one time, we were both Ford parts managers in LA LA Land. His dad was also a Ford parts manager.

I've known Ed for quite a while, have his cell phone number, call him up every so often and BS on the phone.

Awsome!

So what point are you trying to make... You feel better about yourself that you rubbed it in...

I was being silly and going to the old standard dealer joke... Dont take it so seriously

I didn't "rub it in" .. I just pointed out the facts.

Most members of FTE have no Ford literature of any kind, are unaware of FTE sponsors, are unaware of online catalogs, and assume all dealers are crooks.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...I have all sorts of literature including 85 Ford parts catalogs. I spend between 8 to 10 hours a day here on FTE looking up part numbers for members.

I post the part numbers/prices if available, post the part numbers/sources/phone numbers if obsolete. Don't get paid a cent to do this jazz, either.

Well im just pointing out a fact too. I didnt know I was sposta drink the FTE kool-aid. Only pointing out do deal with FTE members. Its great to have sponsers and its great to have those who give members great parts a great prices... You simply could have added to the thred by saying "hey FTE member, we have a parts guy who can get you that doohicky for this much"

I like to laugh, and I like to keep a jovial mood, and im sorry but the dealership, is a universal equivilant for gouged prices... I didnt make that a truth, your fellow dealer breathern did. Dont be mad at me if this fact hurts your feelings.

If you wish to be compensated for your time and effort then come out of retirement, dont try to guilt some respect out of me for you going above and beyond. I gave 20 years of selfless service going above and beyond and never asked anyone for a thing... I did it cause i loved it

If i cant come on here and conversate, help a few folks out, and maybe tell a joke or two in the process then what the fudge is the point... Yank my user name and I will go elsewhere; Have a nice day

Mark
