Nice work!
Glad to see someone really wheeling an Exploder. I had always wanted to trail rig my '99 but I was never able to get it into the cards. Looks good, and thanks for sharing!

My family had a 1992 also G. 4 door XLT 4wd. Was a great truck too. It was given to me in college by my folks with about 165k on it, and we traded it in 3 years later with 192k on it. Original motor and trans.

Thats great, was it dark green like mine

I drove 4 hrs with a rollback to get mine 'cause the salesman said it had a blown tranny, I got it cheap, get it home & fill the tranny up (it was empty) and drove it for about 4 yrs...

I'll argue this one with you. Same platform as the Ranger. Body on Frame. Solid axle (rear at least til 2002). The Twin I-beam front that the 1991-1994 used was a smaller version that was used on the Bronco and F150. They got a little softer in the 2nd gen (1995-2001) but still body on frame and solid rear. I won't comment on the 3rd and 4th gen though, as they're mostly crossovers, but still body on frame.

an exploder is deff a truck. 91-94 for sure. its a ranger with a different body. plain and simple. 95-01 was IFS in the front, 02-06 was ifs front and rear, but they still have a frame and not a unibody. after that i have no idea

It may be built on a truck frame. but its still an suv, better handeling for off road purposes. and its compact, and doesn't feature all of the "truck" features.

its literally a 89-92 ranger with a different body on it. same frame, same suspension, same axles, same engine, same tranny, same tcase, same interior. only difference is a real d35 axle, not a weaker d28/d35 hybrid and stiffer springs to match the heavier body.
what "truck" features does a ranger have?

now i will say 02-current i do not consider trucks, those are suvs/borderline large cars.
