Just for clarification for myself: Roll-top refers to the tracked, aluminum slat/vinyl ones that roll into a box, not the old-style soft vinyl/framed type, correct?

The only reason I have not is due to the size of the one my brother had. I guess I should look at newer ones if they have smaller boxes theses days.

Below I"m trying to draw a crude pic of the roll-top box my bro had where the capital "I" is the bed headwall and it dashes/small "i" are the box. The dimensions of his were approx 12x12", creating a lot of wasted space in front of the toolbox. I don't even think I could move the tool box back far enough to accommodate being as I have a SB. The wheelwells get in the way.

What are the box dimensions of your Extang?

black pearl. I answered your other msg also. My BakFlip takes up about 6 inches from tthe front of the bed. And since the whole thing folds on top, and the the folded parts lay up against the rear window, there is no real wasted space. I also have a below the rail tool box, and it would work fine, but it comes too close to my 5th wheel hitch to be practical. It worked fine with the cover though. With a longbed it would have worked great!

Shopping for a bed cover for my 2013 F-250 4x4 Diesel short wheel base

Shopping for a bed cover. Definitely want a hard cover. Have a Truck Covers roll top on my work truck but it's to heavy and difficult for my wife to operate. The Roll n Lock and the Power Trax Pro have been recommended as alternatives. Would you still recommend your Roll N Lock?
