Good Bay Area Wrecking Yards

Pick n Pull... The really good ones are both San Jose yards and the Newark yard. 'gotta be on top of the inventory in these yards since they are located in a densely populated area.
Stockton is pretty good .. they even have a premier yard for newer models. Fairfield is decent. Richmond is just okay. Don't even bother with the Oakland yard unless it's on your way to one of their other yards.
'Haven't been to the Sacto yards yet since the pickins are pretty good around the bay.
Ask for a "Toolkit" membership application and every dollar you spend earns "points" towards $10 or $20 coupons upon reaching certain milestones. It adds up quick for me cuz I've got multiple projects going on. An additional benefit is you'll get a weekly email as a heads up on the latest promotions like 50% off EVERYTHING weekends (you get it a day early), seating, engines, glass, turn signal assemblies, reduced price alternators (3G hunting!!), etc.
I like pick n pull because:
1. All their prices are posted and there's no haggling.
2. Yards are well maintained and well organized.
3. Their inventory is posted online so ya can check for the latest arrivals by make and model... Last week I checked for Lincoln Mark VIIIs in search of an electric cooling fan. Sho' nuff the yard had two and I promptly pirated both of their fans the next day.
4. Friendly staff.
