Great 1st try.
Too bad he couldn't revert the entire front end and massive lights on every corner.

The retro paint looks pretty good on that new Ford! Always wanted a two tone!
Just a shot of my F250 working hauling maple sap.

Yup! Also liked the ones where the tops of the cabs were painted to match the two tone portion.

looks like the wind took hold of the door! Dad had a door like that...

I really like the old two tone look.
Shockingly, that Chevy actually looks pretty decent.

Ewww, they tried to mimic the 1977 era paint scheme, trim and all from the Chevy. Our Fords at work 1976 through 80's, were the Copper and White, I loved that combination. My actual first 4 Wheel drive, 1977 K20 with a 454 I transplanted with only 500 miles on the truck. Dad just shook his head, new truck and I change the engine out.....

It too got a 454 transplanted in it's first year.....

I'll have to dig through some boxes and scan in a picture

That is funny. I had a spare engine for my 1970 Chevelle SS all fresh and ready. You had to look high and low for anything 4 wheel drive after-market. Suppliers were just coming into play from California for drop pitman arms, suspension and tires. I got a few pointers from a guy named Wally Versnic who had terminal cancer when he was young and did a 1974 K10 short bed, shortly after, he passed away and his sister inherited the truck.

We found a supplier with billet input shafts and beefed up the 350 turbo hydrostatic transmission, only other option was switching to the 400 trans. GM finally offered the Big Block 4x4 in 1978, before that they were only found in 2 wheel drive camper specials mostly.

Mine was a 78, but the door said 77
It was way hard back in the day to build them, Thank God big foot came along

When I built the 79 blazer, I went with a 400 small block, and 400 turbo
That truck was the "new " full time four wheel drive with the spider gear transfer case
Last GM I EVER owned. POS
all trucks from then on have been ford, except the street rods

Especially the price..... $6,500 out the door including Title and Tax. Put 200,000 miles on that truck before I sold it.
