There was quite a few doing that to cars around here in the 80's converting them to 4x4 , not sure where they all disappeared to..

With the back half of that car caged, and the body lines look excellent (as far as we can tell in the pic), I bet that is a high quality build.

I wonder if he did any of the fabrication or if he had a shop do the complete build. I sure would like to look a lot closer.

Yea it looked to be well done , with some Extras , the engine sounded healthy , I was waiting for the guy to pull over so I could get more info , like a picture of the Engine .
