Ha! I've been toying with the idea of getting one of those and mounting it on the "roll bar" on my flat bed.

I don't see how they're street legal. They're brighter than conventional high beam bulbs and don't specifically aim below the other driver's line of sight.

But I've never seen anybody pulled over for them, or heard of anybody being cited for them.

You're welcome sir. We're going to take ours out this weekend for a week. Mom and dad are taking their Winnebago also. My brother was planning to go, but he had a mishap with his coming back from Destin...

I hear ya. I just had to rib you a little.
If I do it, it would only be used off road or late night lonely roads. It'd be pretty handy when looking for livestock at night, or avoiding other critters.

c'mon now...the ALL of the OEM LED lighting technology in my 2017 F350 is brighter than most high beams.

I suppose it depends on the state (law)....I know in Virginia you can't have any lights (operationally) above the OE headlights...some inspectors won't even pass the vehicle if they don't have (black) covers on them

and for that matter I've never seen anyone pulled over or failing to dim their high beams OR for horribly aligned headlights.

down here there seemed to be a trend where GM/GMC owners were swapping they high beam (plugs) for the lowbeam - it ran the high beams all the time then....I guess they thought it provided better lighting.

for situations like that I'm glad I have additional lighting....

I have had a buddy get pulled over for them. Had a 18" bar on my dearly missed IDI and it was nice on dark country roads or off road. It stayed OFF when around other cars.

I only run mine when I'm certain theres no on-coming or traffic in front of me that would be bothered....mostly I use 'em on back/country roads in hopes that ill get an early warning before the deer try to run out in front of me.
