That's rep worthy. Too bad I'm all out.
This is the reason the night sky intrigues me so. Peering up at trillions and trillions of galaxies, solar systems, and stars which blend together to look like mere dots. Combine that with the fact that there may be someone just like me looking back, and that what I'm seeing may no longer exist is just mind boggling. Trying to understand the universe makes the brain ache. It's impossible to comprehend the possibility that something may be infinitely large, and exist forever; we've just never encountered such a thing on this tiny spec we call Earth.
This is why I love science. One can sit, deep in thought, for hours, thinking about the workings of our everyday lives. Sitting on a couch, made of massive numbers of atoms, held together by different types of bonds. These atoms are comprised of protons, neutrons, and electrons, yet between these particles is large amounts of empty space. Atomic particles, which are comprised of immense amounts of energy, and nothing more. And then trying to THINK about what energy even IS...distorts the mind. You, me, our computers, our houses, the earth, the universe- nothing but energy.
Aaaand, I have no idea why I just decided to write this I guess that pic just inspired me!
