Pump a few rounds into the box to prove beyond all conjecture if there is indeed a cat in the box at all.

Missing two fingers?

Do we have a couple of people willing to give Dan a finger?

Given enough time, logic would dictate that the cat must be dead. I think it would be safe to assume that Schrodinger's cat is in fact dead now. Especially if the box has a smell to it............

The same as the joke, the existence of the cat is easily accepted in the joke. Once accepted, the paradox of it walking into a bar, and not, fits within the parameters set forth in Shrodinger's paradox.

Your argument is logically flawed because you accept Shrodinger's thought experiment regarding the existence of the cat in a box, but not being seen, yet you discount a cat in a bar, not being seen.

The cat in the bar doesn't have to be seen in order for the thought experiment to work with the same principles set by Shrodinger.

Yes, you are right. I guess I didn't remember it as well as I thought I did!

For everybody else, the joke still works because base 10 also starts with 0.

It really is a joy to hear that other people still know it well enough to talk about it. Especially a group like this!

I'm impressed with the wide range of knowledge on here too!

Will you look this good when you're 182-years old?

BBC News - Meet Jonathan, St Helena's 182-year-old giant tortoise
"He is virtually blind from cataracts, has no sense of smell - but his hearing is good," Joe tells me. At 182, Jonathan may be the oldest living land creature..... A photograph taken in 1882 shows Jonathan at his full size, and it can take 50 years to reach that physical maturity.
