Yea I expect it to be a challenge.I got a shop back in alberta with a forklift, compressor, welder and assorted cutting tools so that part is not an issue.I plan on cutting the floor out of the 05 and keeping the cab mounts in place then grafting the 68 cab on at the top of the firewall and back of the floor.Sounds like fun yes?

Oh yes it does sound like fun. Lots of work but you have a bunch of stuff to make it a lot easier. I would look at the mounts on the frame first if you haven't yet, might be easier.

It would be even easier if you went with a flat deck instead of a box.

The 6.0 and torqshift would be a pita to make fit with the 68 firewall and floor.I would also want the brakes and suspension off the 05.So it might easier to stuff just the engine and tranny in but with the brakes and suspension involved I think will cut up the 05.I plan on hopping up the 6.0 so it'd be nice to have the SD chassis to keep it driving straight with my foot in it

I guess it would take some major firewall work with how far back the engine sits in the SD.
