Well I was just going to pull the HPOP off the spare motor for my T500 core. When I stopped the engine was on the stand and the heads where in the floor. Cylinders dont look bad at all, but the top of one piston looks kinda hammered up. This is my first time into a diesel motor so kinda learning as I go. I have seen dinged up pistons on my Banshee but it is always pretty obvious what causes it and the cylinder usually gets tore up a little.
On here the cylinder does not look bad and not sure what would cause it. Not sure of the number of the cylinder but it would be the passenger side closest to the firewall.

 

That would be #7 cylinder. How did the GP look on that cylinder? Any pieces missing/melted away?

 

will have to take a look at that tomorrow. I just picked the head off and layed it down. Didnt even look at the bottom of it. Had a five year old wanting to go to the house, and off to take him and his sister to a movie this morning so maybe this evening or tomorrow will get back on it.
