Good evening Illinois, Ken, and Jim! I hope you guys had a great Saturday. The dusting we received last evening is all but gone, temp went to 38° today melting all except that in the shade. That's right Jim, think, Summer, Summer, Summer. I did nothing productive today, So that should make you either jealous or proud. Everyone have a terrific Sunday.
Good evening Illinois, Steve, and Pat! Hope you all had a great Sunday. It was a sunny day here, Didn't do much but hide out in the house. 38° was the temp, so we got rid of some more leftover snow. What dept. do you work in that puts you outside Steve? On the 10th of February wife and I are heading back to her sister's in Georgia so I am hoping Steve that you can clear out the cold for us. We're fair weather people, I don't know why we hang around here in Illinois. Other than we were raised here and her Father is still with us as are two of her Sisters. Hey Pat thanks for stopping by Illinois. Did you ever get a hold of dohc chump up Rockford way? Hope everyone has a great startof the new week with a terrific and productive Monday.
Good evening Illinois, Rick and Pat. It was my day off and I just plain relaxed.. Rick, I work in the outside lawn and garden department of Lowe's. Cleaning, loading and restocking.
Good morning Illinois, Alabama Steve, Jim, and Jersey Steve! Just a quick fly by before getting out to enjoy another beautiful day in paradise. Have a terrific Tuesday everyone. Temps are to return to the 60s today.
Rick! Man, I haven't seen you on here during the day in ages! How's it going man? I was off yesterday, it was 70 here, just amazing!
Pat, I jumped on here to post in the SD thread about my problems with ball joints and how it was found. Your description of like driving a pinball machine was dead on. Spooky to drive down the curb lane with someone to your left, or a two lane at 55MPH. Ball joints was the problem. Took it in for an alignment, first thing checked was ball joints, Ford wanted me to leave it, they couldn't do it that day but I agreed to bring it back on Monday.
The new joints have zerks whereas the originals didn't. I bought a special tool from NAPA that slides over the yoke on the front shaft to grease them. A 90° zerk won't clear. When you get it repaired I'll give you the part # for it. After spending that kind of money on it I'll lay in ahole deep snow to grease them. The truck had 64K on it when it was done and now has 102K and still drives straight as an arrow. $904.00 out the door in April 2007. I didn't feel comfortable doing it myself. If Black is your dream truck I would fix it. I had Big Boy for four months then this, it about made me sick.
