Extended warranties for GM cars/trucks.

I know where to buy discounted extended warranties for Ford and Mopar vehicles. Who sells them cheap for GM vehicles?

Got money in my pocket and a space in my garage. The two cannot co-exist.o

That is a limited market, either Smith Chevy or Heritage Cadillac.

Thanks again for the info, but I bought another Ford.

Was dealing with Chevy Traes), Buick Encores and Chevy Bolts. Had 3 or 4 deals done, or so I thought.

One dealer would not take a check (first time that has happened after buying hundreds of cars over the years). All the other dealers were trying to stick me with $2000 worth of window tint and wheels locks, all at the last minute.

When is $4000 off MSRP not really $4000 off MSRP? When there are $2000 worth of dealer adds.

Found a 2020 EcoSport Titanium that was a good deal and no dealer adds. So that is what is in the garage.

Keep in mind, the GM Protection plans are authorized third party products, offered by AMT Warranty. Unlike Ford and Mopar, GM factory plans were dropped a couple of years ago. The longest GM/AMT plan is 5 years/60,000 miles, while Ford offers up to 8 years/150,000 and Mopar offers up to 8 years/125,000.

GM announced that it will sell extended warranties again, but only for 60 months/60,000 miles. For a 4WD pickup (any model), MSRP is $1416.

That's just two years and 24K miles beyond your factory power train coverage, what's the benefit?

No, 5y/60K already is your powertrain coverage with GM. It's just 2 years and 24,000 beyond the bumper-to-bumper. All this plan does is extend most of your bumper-to-bumper coverage to match the powertrain - but they still do not offer any factory authorized plan beyond 5/60. If you want/need something beyond that, you're left with the aftermarket, although Ally is probably the only one who may confidently be around to service you 7 or 8 years down the road.
