Yeag G... I get zapped all the time. My living room furniture has a material that REALLY makes electricity!!! I can draw an arc about 3" long! But if I take off my shoes, NO SPARKS!

I don't remember what make mine is, but it's a floor model, and holds three gallons of water. The only drawback is I have to locate the honeycomb filters it takes, which can be a pain to find in the stores.

This one has no filter, and nothing to clean or replace. The water tank holds about a gallon, you just take it off, turn it over, and unscrew the bottom to add water. it lasts about 14 hrs on 1 tank. It fills itself like a water cooler

Think I'll look into buying a new one instead. Those filters ain't cheap, and I really don't need the aggravation of trying to find them.

I don't have a carpet either...hardwood floors. Going with stocking feet must ground us out on it tho....

Frank, it sounds like you have one of those old floor models that have the big wheel in it that revolved through a tank of water. I had one, got rid of it because of bacteria build-up.

Yup that's the one! We had to put some kind of chemical in there so that wouldn't happen. Can't say for sure if the chemical worked or not tho.

The chemicals were as bad if not worse than the problem! AND more expensive. Go get one of the cold water inclosed tanks like Charlie is talking about. Wally Worlds are everywhere!

Ya'll have a great day...I gotta go get some things done around here.....I'll be around here tho.....
