My current one looks to be in decent shape there are a few dings in the corners, looks like from rock damage from the tires, but nothing major, I am not going for a "show truck" just a personalized version.

I dont know anything about what some call high build primer, maybe that could be used to fill in the texture though.. The estimator at the auto shop did not know much about paint work, and both times i have stopped in the painter was not around or available to talk to about this.. I think another trip to the shop might be in order. I am sure if I rip the bumper apart myself and give them the part it will help save me even more money..

I searched YouTube.com for "high build primer" and found several videos. My guess is that if three coats were applied to your XL upper bumper cover, you would be 50% closer to the XLT upper bumber cover.

I put in a set of smoked fog lights with 3000k HIDs, the license plate bracket (law in my area), and the lower bumper valance.. I see why I didnt have a bumper valance, I can now only turn my steering wheel about half a turn and it the tires hit the plastic haha.. I plan on just leaving it and taking it easy on the hard right hand turns, I will be doing a lift kit most likely this summer, as long as work stays good, its slower than normal right now at which is making my question my big purchases

Now I just need to do something with that upper bumper pad, I need to get a smooth one and paint to match, or some people are saying get a black unpainted plastic one and that would look good as well..
