Thats **** man! Do you have a link to the website you got it from? I'm not trying to spend 1500 on a d*mn grille

I was toying around with the idea of doing copper mesh in my grill openings, untill I found out how much copper mesh was. not that it would be too expensive to just do the openings, but i could only find sellers that made you buy like a 4x8 sheet minimum at a cost way more than reasonable.... maybe one day

It looks good, but I still think it would look better w/ something in the center to break it up. From a distance it still looks like there's no grille there - the bolts around the edge help a lot but there's still the big area in the middle. Maybe it doesn't look like that in person? Personally, I think the blue oval would look good there, but that star someone else had looked good as well. Heck fab something up w/ your favorite team logo or something, lot of options.

In person it really does not have the "big opening" look. You can tell the mesh is there, I think the mesh is just so fine, the camera can not pick it up correctly. In real life it has the 3d look and that is hard to transfer into a 2d picture. Plus the picture I took was on my cell phone and was taken at dawn before the sun was even up haha
I do agree the photos make it look like that though. I was debating sticking my ford emblem on there or possibly coming up with something else, or I may just leave it. The body shop called and said the grill should be ready for install in about an hour and a half so I am hoping for the best!

Got it back, it looks amazing!! This is the best pic I could get to the where I was parked and the angle of the sun.
Now I need to decide if I shoudl paint the upper bumper pad to match, and if I do, should I just paint over the textured one or should I get a smooth finish one?? The body shop told me they WONT sand it down, that it would be not worth it and easier to just buy a new one. But they did say with the primer they use it should really fill in most of the texture so it would be almost smooth. A new pad is about $110 for aftermarket or $200 for factory, and I think they said it would be about $100 to paint it...

I am really leaning more towards painting it, but I need to replace the drivers side mounting bracket as its bend a little bit.
Any thoughts on aftermarket vs factory upper bumper pad? I get really scared buying aftermarket parts, I have has some BAD experience, but this the aftermarket is only half the cost of a new factory one!

Maybe check your local salvage yard for a used OEM upper cover. Since you are going to paint it, it doesn't matter what color it is as long as it is in good condition. The smooth upper covers tend to "wave" over time due to the design and the effects of heat (sunlight). If your current upper cover is in good condition, you may want to use it and save some $$$. I don't want to lead you in any direction because of the expense of new parts.
