Truck going to Shop
Well after searching for six months I finally found a guy who works from home and he is going to help me get my engine and transmission mounted in my 51 Ford the way it needs to be and also help install new steering column along with mounting aluminum radiator. Also needed the steering column and linkage addressed with respect to the mustang II front end. Truck had a Buick motor and I am swapping in 302/AOD with fuel injection. Plan to drive the truck a lot and I wanted reliability so I decided to get some help from a old guy building hot rods for years. I went through a couple of months of thinking I could do this by myself. I am now ready to move forward and get this thing in the shop and back so I can get her running. Engine mounts and steering are very important in my book and need to be done right the first time and I know how far my capabilities along with time are stretched.

Just like Dick said there will always be work to be done that you can do yourself, if you choose. I dont blame you, I would need help changing out engines myself. Safety first. I think its great, that shes getting a Ford engine back in her. It will be great driving her. Best of luck to ya.

Hey Isaiah,
Don't worry about it - I had expert help along the way - Mine was down at the transmission shop last week. You are making great progress - keep it moving. If I read your plan correctly you are doing a fuel injected 302 - I'd like to know more about the fuel injection part when you get a chance.
The AOD was too tricky for us to do ourselves - turns out we were missing some spacer behind our 351 - who would have known.

I am getting the brakes done at the shop also. The guy I found is very timely and I he really got me focused on the foundation of the truck. Send me a PM with question Ben.... I will post pictures as this project moves forward.
