Midnight, this is what I was trying to do exactly when I fubar'd my set of projector lenses, your retrofit was what inspired me to do the project in the first place, but sadly being in an appartment I can't really do much project wise like that, neighbors arnt really thrilled either LOL but I did try doing what you did and wound up melting the plastic (mistake) to the lamp base and the projector lense I think cracked some, so i just tossed them in the recycle bin and sent them off but I would really love a clean looking pair of projectors maybe with angle eyes that come on with the parking lights...
however I do love the clear euro lamps and want them as I know they will improve driving by at least a factor of 10 safety wise and now that I go into work at 4AM I am starting to need them more...yea I have dim lamps
So your saying you bought a set of MH1 projectors and set of headlights and opened them up and they got FUBAR?
With HIDs you deff want projectors. A retrofit like I did is the best way. But the ebay projectors will work. They won't close to as good as a retrofit but they will be better than HIDs in reflector headlights.
well I think I some how FUBARd them as I was trying to follow your guide exactly to the letter, but ehh I will do what I must I guess...would love to have the retrofit type that look better tho...
A nice pair of factory Ford lights with good clear non blue or non extra white bulbs with relays is the only way to go.
The China made repop lights are junk, and they have poor beam focus.
Any aftermarket projector headlight is ugly as sin. The only projectors I have seen that aren't disgusting are the home made ones, but I'm not a fan of them either.
