Slow and loud at half throttle

My truck has been slow as hell lately, and it's loud as all get-out at half throttle. It seems like I can get alot of increased rpms without alot of increased speed (until the boost kicks in). At part throttle its loud and has a clanky knocking sound to it that wasn't there before (doesn't sound like an exhaust leak though). I recently replaced the HPOP, ICP, and rebuilt the fuel bowl. This was happening before I did all of that. Not pulling any unusual codes with the Superchips Cortex. Already tried pulling and plugging the wastegate line, no change. Recently did the fifty cent mod, all injectors are reading less than 5 ohms. Oil in HPOP res is right. Also cleaned out the EBPV tube last week, no change. I've got AE software on the way from Clay. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you checked fuel pressure?

Nope. Not quite sure the best way to do it....but I did do the hutch mod and the harpoon mod. Truck didn't change. What's the best way to check the fuel pressure?

Gauge hooked to the fuel bowl is the best way so that you can observe it while driving. If you have done the in tanks mods odds are your delivery is ok, but you might have a regulator issue or clogged pump screen.

Maybe it's a pump screen. Don't think it's FPR, as i also put the FRX mod on and replaced the spring and cleaned the poppet valve. Is there a way to check the pump screen?

Fuel pressure was just a thought, guess with the mods you have done, it really shouldn't be too much of an issue. Easiest way to check for restriction would be with gauge, but you could remove it and visually inspect, although it's not likely the issue.

Have retorqued your injector hold downs or rockers in a while? They can make some rackit too when they loosen up.

Leaking up-pipes or manifolds? Really just throwing things out now, since it seems like you have been through it pretty well.

You say at 1/2 throttle so, up to half throttle is it responsive? Slow at half throttle would be relative to what RPM's were, at 1/2 throttle is it still accelerating? I actually would guess that I rarely go over half throttle...

I guess not really half throttle, part throttle, or accelerating slowly...

Could I potentially be looking at a torque converter issue?
