#17
funny i came across this post. i have a 2001 king ranch and im creeping up on 250 thou miles. if the truck has been taken care of these tritons will last forever. i had my tranny rebuilt to and if it was done right u should be fine but in my honest opinion 10000 is too much for a high mileage truck with a rebuitl tranny. i wouldnt go much higher than 7000. you never know how the guy before u treated her

Is it a 4.6 or 5.4? I didn't see that info.
If your going to be pulling horses with it ,you want a 5.4!
And the price looks high to me Maybe 8 or 8.5K for it would be fare.
You could save some money if you find one that's Not a king-ranch. Unless you need all the luxury crap...lol
It's a nice looking truck, but I did not see under the hood!

I think 10k is way to much for an 03 screw with 200k on the clock. I personally dont have a problem with higher milage vehicles, but as stated earlier, i work on my own stuff.
I would recomend you find a vehicle with less miles. Try to find one that is low milage of the same 97-03 style. They really are good trucks, mine 99 SCAB haveing 225k and my dads 01 Screw having 260k on them.
But..... higher miles are a risk, and you are taking the previous owners word on how the vehicle was used and abused (or lack there of according to the P.O.) .
Not worth it.

I just read that in his original post...must of missed that.. if you have no ability to work on your own truck I wouldent buy high millage. Like everyone has said its a risk. Me on the other hand....I take the risk
I sold a 98 ranger reg. Cab auto 3.0 this summer with 208k on it for 3200. The guy only ask a hand full of questions and never even test drove it. That's one in a million...he must be happy, I never heard from him.

Just so you know, this is for your Zip Code and with 220,000 miles it's not in excellent condition!
So the bottom price is the fair price for that truck.
